Vicki, are you thinking about Wyoming Rib and Chop? They've been closed for renovations among other issues.
There is no menu online anywhere for Proud Cut. They're fully aware of this, many complain but it's still not here. I asked for a paper menu to take home. Don't have those, either. I finally took a photo of every page of the menu when we were eating there. Great place to eat. For lunch, burgers are good & Roast Beef sandwich w/mushrooms & swiss cheese & Au Jus (like a French Dip but better). For dinner, Small Filet - can't beat it. Cooked med. - every bite is delicious; no waste. OR Jumbo Shrimp fried -biggest shrimp I've seen! I can't eat the last one! Appetizers: Rocky Mt Oysters, Onion Rings, Lunch menus & smaller fried shrimp are less expensive -Less than $15. Dinner items like steaks, Jumbo Shrimp- most expensive is about $30.
No there is not
They have vegetable appetizers, but they serve fish, chicken, steak, and ribs.
Cody Cab will deliver from anywhere in City limits to anywhere in city limits for $5.00. Please remember to tip the driver!
Had a fantastic dinner here tonight! I had the pulled pork sandwich which was really great. Others in my party had the ribeye and the Asian salad which were also really delicious. Ambience is quaint and comfortable. Definitely a great place for dinner!
If you're looking for a cold beer, great hamburgers and excellent service then this is your place! I make it a point to come back here everytime that I'm in Cody and order something different because I know that I wont be disappointed. This last time, I ordered the Buffalo Burger with jalapenos. Usually Buffalo is leaner than beef so it dries out quicker when being cooked. As usual the burger was moist and cooked to perfection while the ingredients were all fresh! I'm already excited to come back!
We ordered steak and mine was undercooked and my husbands was burned. The butter for my potato came in packets that were set inside my potato (gross because I don’t know who touched that packet without gloves). The place was freezing so we had to get our coats from the car. The service was terrible, we had to get our own water refills from the bar and extra napkins. The waiter never came by to ask how our dinner was. We would have had a better experience at Arby’s!
Ate at the Proud Cut Saloon 4 years this week and I still dream about eating their Rocky Mountain Oysters.....Best Ever 😋
The Proud Cut is incredible. I have yet to have a bad experience there. The food is AMAZING and the staff is fantastic. I highly recommend!
The food was good. Service was good. Prices were great. Only wish they would of allowed us to split the check.
Called ahead told there would be prime rib, was seated 20 mins after our reservation time, there was NO prime rib! The food was ok, the service was just ok!
Lane Robinson the General Manager is awesome. Such a delightful person...kept us entertained. The food was absolutely delicious!
Wow! Just snuck over from Yellowstone and what a treat!! Food was delicious and service was awesome!!
Delicious! We stopped here after 2 days of hiking in Yellowstone. We had the hand cut ribeye and 1/2 rack of ribs and apple cobbler. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. It really hit the spot!
My wife and I dined at the Proud Cut on 20/27/20. The waitstaff was spot on, my French onion soup was definitely homemade and not from a can (suggestion: cheese baked over the top of the homemade soup and bread would had made it perfect, but still awesome), the Cowboy chips and shrimp were served hot, and the lemom drop cheesecake was atgreat surprise. From the bar, I ordered a Manhattan, which I realize isn't on the top ten of Wyoming drinks. Though decent enough, the size presented was small, about half the size of others I've ordered in Cody, and therefore a bit pricey. This wasn't a deal breaker for me, and I'll be back tomorrow.
The steakhouse is not good at the steaks nor seafood. We visited the restaurant based on great reviews and ordered 4 dishes; here are what we got: The Prime steak was full of uncooked fat; T-Bone was served cold; Ribeye was too fatty and it’s not a prime cut beef but a choice; shrimps were deep fried and overcooked. We had to wait over 1 hour to get the food on table, which was a great waste of time - considering we only had 5 hours to spend in Cody!I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Not wasted money but time!
Food and service excellent. Buffalo Burgers, sweet potato fries and onion rings best around!
Waitress was a slow disaster. Couldn't keep her mind on what she was doing. Ordered hamburger well done. Got medium at best. Wife got sliders and she loved those. Weird rule, you don't need reservations if they have empty tables, but if they are full you need reservations?
Best bison burger I've had! Great service as well.
They were very busy so we made a reservation for 45 mins later. We came back and waited another 15-20 mins before we were seated. The soup was great but the $28 tenderloin that was ordered medium rare came out blue rare, and the buffalo burger was ordered medium rare but came out well done. Nothing was seasoned. Very disappointing for an $80 tab. We thought the wait was a good sign but it wasn’t worth it. Great atmosphere on the patio though, and our hostess and server did a good job and were very apologetic.
Proud cut is always solid! Great food and authentic atmosphere! Love the prime rib sandwich, which is basically a giant slab of prime rib with Texas toast and a side salad! It's my favorite!
The food was really good. Very neat atmosphere.
This was recommended by a friend who grew up in Cody and we had a good time. Our goal was to eat Rocky Mountain Oysters (Fried Bull Testicles). They were not livery or gamy at all but tasted much like any other fried meat.
Please understand, my husband and I are from Wyoming and understand what meat temps look like . I sent my Prime back 2 times for being overcooked. We were extremely disappointed that the "Owner", who has only been in the restaurant industry for 3 months tells me that "it is what it is" and "I don't know what Medium rare looks like". When a customer sends a steak back because they ordered a medium rare prime rib TWICE, and it is still medium to medium well, there needs to be some accountability... I won't recommend this place to"locals" EVER!
Very tasty food and service is fast and very friendly. New owner is super nice.
"Buffalo" burger was actually Bison but this is America and no one really cares about the difference? Had It rare of course because any more would be just like a dairy cow over cooked... the Cowboy Chips were good but I think next time I'll go with the sweet potato or other options. The bun was really good compliment to burger.Staff-excellent service for a mid afternoon meal. So bonus Star for that.
Came in at 615. Only 5 tables of 12 were used and the bar seating was empty. Waited a half hour before the hostess gave us water and iced tea. At a lil over an hour, never had anyone come back to check on us, order food, or refill water. Place is now completely full. Just got up to leave and at front door am stopped by hostess who apologized for wait and was sure our food will be out directly......we never got to order. If you ever been there it isn't THAT big of place....
Service was awesome! Burgers were over cooked and burnt with no seasoning. The rest of the food was good. I was after a buffalo burger and deeply disappointed.
Some of the best food I had on my entire trip, but it was expensive! our bill for 2 adults and 2 kids was 130 dollars before tip. The apple cobbler was worth it. The brownie wasnt that great. Almost bland.
Watch you receipt alot of add ins they don't tell you. Not friendly waiters.
They do a great job here. The Rocky Mountain Oysters were done just right in a cornmeal batter. I got the jalepeno burger and it had just the right level of spice. They managed all 12 of us without an issue. The orders were a chaotic mix of tastes and concerns. The evening was perfect and everyone enjoyed themselves.
Great place for dinner if you can find a seat! Excellent ribs, good service and a hopping atmosphere. Centrally located to downtown and all the shops. Very Wyoming decor and good vibe all around. Recommended!
The steak was five star. They get one star for PPE. Absolutely oblivious to what’s happening with Covid19. I get it, WY doesn’t have many cases, but they don’t get it, I’ve been in six states in the past week. We ALL need PPE.
We were very excited to find this place after a long day of driving. However, in the end we were very disappointed in a very mediocre experience all around. We ordered drinks and my wife got a very good Flathead Cherry Cider from Last Chance Cider Mill. I ordered a Red Lodge IPA. They were out. No problem, that happens with craft beer. I ordered the Melvin IPA and I was brought a very light lager. I told our server that what she brought me was not the IPA I ordered. She checked with the bartender who said then said they were out of the Melvin IPA. They should have just said that instead of trying to pass off a lager as an IPA. I ended up having a Moose Drool Ale. We ate our meal. Nothing spectacular but not bad. Not worth the high price. I paid the bill and of course I was charged for the beer that was "mistakenly" brought out as well as the one I had. We love Cody and when we return we will spend our money at one of the many other food options available.
We stopped here on our first of 4 nights in Cody. By far this place was above the other 3 restaurants we ate at. Food and service were a step above the other restaurants. I would highly recommend eating here to anyone visiting or staying in Cody.
Service acceptable, food sub-standard and prices rediculous ! Won't go there again nor recommend it.
Love the pulled pork sandwich and homade chips!
Amazing burgers and steaks, and whoever created a bacon vinaigrette is a genius! Staff is friendly and service is great!
The appetizer was cold, two of five drinks were wrong, we got the wrong cuts of steak and one was way over done. We had to ask twice for ketchup and never got it! Overall experience was very poor! We won't be back again!
They said they closed at 10. My wife and I showed up with our 3 very hungry kids at 9 and were turned away saying the fry cook decided he was done early that night. Absolutely absurb and beyond ridiculous.
Wagyu beef on Wednesday. Don’t even think about it!! 14oz “hand trimmed” Ribeye. 1/2 completely inedible, not even close to trimmed. Hard grizzle, tendons! For a $40 steak it was a thin “run of the mill” cheap ribeye. After pointing this out, and sending half back, we got $5 off the tab, WOW! Thanks!
This place is slightly better than the DQ down the street. The steaks were dry, the prime rib was average. Good baked potato, but just confusing how this place has a wait list and accepts reservation only after a certain point. The salsa tasted overpowering with Tabasco sauce and sugar and the spinach and artichoke dip was average at best.
After waiting half an hour to be seated ( there was an empty table near the front) we were finally seated at said table. We waited 15 minutes to get water and a menu. 20 minutes later they took our order. 30 minutes later we got our steaks that were barely warm and very rare. We asked for medium and well done. No baked potato. Was the toughest steak I have ever tried to eat. 40 percent uneditable. I wouldn't recommend going there.
The food and service is awsome. It's a must to eat there while in town
The staff and food here were very good. We sat at the bar due to it being very busy. It did take a little while for the food, however, the bartender and the owner were extremely friendly and made the wait fun. I would definitely recommend this place over other places in town. Just a good friendly atmosphere with good food.. Only change I suggest... Offer unpackaged butter (it was the cheap cubed butter) for baked potatoes... also offer some veggies with your steak and potato. Otherwise still a 5 star place!
Proud Cut is like going back in time. Really cozy saloon feel with an old timey bar and some of the best steaks you will ever eat. I had a bone in ribeye and fried green tomatoes and ate every bite. Highly recommended!
Love, love, love this place! Our waitresses and the owner were all so attentive and welcoming. My husband and I both ordered the tenderloin with french onion soup and baked potatoes. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were fork tender. The owner took time to come over and talk with us. Gave us a great suggestion for a day trip that turned out more amazing than a trip to Yellowstone. Can't give them a higher rating or I would. Recommend you make a reservation!
Buffalo burger was excellent, however...... The service was atrocious. The prime rib were chewy and overcooked, not tender at any temp, our group had three. Overpriced. Not worth it. Don't stop here unless you are getting Buffalo burger to go.
Cool decor, old school taxidermy in main saloon. We sat on covered patio, which was really nice. Service was slow, food delivery slower and couple of dishes cold that wait staff didn't offer remedy for. Steak miscooked. Ribs were good. 20+ minutes from request to check arriving. Could have been an off day.
My sister ordered a steak... I'm not a steak eater, but it looked so good, I asked for a bite. Oh my gosh, it was so juicy, flavorful, and melted in my mouth. Yum. My burger was one of the best I've ever had. The meat at this place is out of this world. If you're ever in Cody, Wyoming, I would suggest you try the steaks at this place.
Very good food with a great staff. I would recommend this place to eat if you want something delicious.
